Leafs signings, front office additions, and more
In the news today, the media look at how the holes at centre are being filled – with or without Mats Sundin returning, as well as update us on the Leafs coaching (assistants Rob Zettler and Tim Hunter) for next year, along with the likely addition of Joe Nieuwendyk for the front office.
Finally, there’s an article out of Montreal on the Canadiens continued attempts to woo Mats Sundin. They seem to be honouring Sundin’s request for some time and space to decide on his future, but are clear that they want to remain front-runners for his services.

Leafs re-sign John Mitchell, Dominic Moore
The Leafs continued to shore up the lineup by re-signing both John Mitchell and Dominic Moore on Thursday, both to one-year contracts.
They also picked up Greg Scott, inking him to a three-year entry-level contract.

Leafs acquire Mikhail Grabovski
The Maple Leafs made a trade with Montreal on Thursday, picking up forward Mikhail Grabovski in exchange for prospect Greg Pateryn and a second-round draft pick in 2010.
Grabovski, 24, had nine points (3-6) in 27 NHL games over the past two seasons. He was a fifth-round pick, 150th overall, in 2004.
