For the second straight home game the Leafs outshot their opponents only to lose in overtime. Toronto’s 49 shots on goal weren’t enough to defeat the Montreal Canadiens, who skated away from Air Canada Centre with a 3-2 win on Saturday night thanks to Andrei Kostitsyn’s winning goal.
Toronto’s record in overtime/shootout games is a pathetic 1-9 this season.
The Leafs are in action tonight at Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh (7pm, Leafs TV, AM 640).
