Coming off a 2-1 shootout win on Saturday, Vesa Toskala will make his second straight start in the Leafs net as Toronto hosts the New York Islanders tonight (7pm, SportsNet, AM 640). It will mark the first time in six weeks that Toskala makes consecutive starts.
Islanders rookie sensation John Tavares will play his first NHL game in Toronto.
At Ricoh Coliseum on Sunday afternoon, the Toronto Marlies rallied from two goals down to beat the Lake Erie Monsters 3-2 in a shootout. Goalie James Reimer was named the game’s first star.
