With the Leafs having posted a meagre three wins at the quarter-mark of the 82-game schedule, there is much speculation as to potential trades, or demotions, to alter the lineup. Jason Blake’s overpriced contract makes him a candidate to move to the Toronto Marlies.
Meanwhile youngsters such as Christian Hanson, who netted a hat trick in the Marlies win over the Lake Erie Monsters last night, eagerly await the possibility of a call-up to the big club.
Toronto hosts Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals tonight at ACC (7pm, CBC, AM 640). The Caps will be in a foul mood after dropping a 3-2 decision at home to Montreal on Friday.
