Clark and Gilmour to be honoured, lots more on Mats, CuJo looking forward to season, and more…
As we reported yesterday, the Leafs announced that Clark and Gilmour will each be honoured by having their numbers hoisted to the ACC rafters this season. Just about everybody is wondering what Sundin will decide to do, and Cox even muses about who will wear the ‘C’ if Mats doesn’t return to the Leafs. Curtis Joseph is looking forward to donning the Leafs’ jersey again.
In other news, former Leafs coach, Paul Maurice, will be in New York to interview for the Isles’ vacant head coaching role. Hockey’s Future has (finally!) released their review of the Leafs’ 2008 draft choices. ‘Mad’ Mike Milbury will be joining the Hockey Night in Canada crew next year, and Wickenheiser is taking another stab at playing in a competitive men’s team in Sweden.
