I guess we can all agree it was not Wilson after all. Burke has put himself in a bad spot now because the only guy left to blame.... is him.

Yeah Wilson gets 3 1/2 years and Carlyle is a bust after a few weeks.

This attitude is exactly what I was trying to warn against when people were calling for Wilson's head in order to "save the season." It usually takes at least a month before a team starts to turn things around under a new coach. Carlyle hasn't even been behind the Leafs' bench for 3 weeks.

Well, I can't really speak to Wilson like that but with a coaching change that involves a real different philosophy, style and approach I don't think you can nail that down easily in so few games. That's a transition that'll take some time to really judge fairly.

I am more than content to give Carlyle a lot more time to see if he can get these guys playing a more complete game. It will take a while for these guys to completely turn their style of play around. It may even work out better that way. We will see.
