Can the Leafs Beat Boston?
« on: November 28, 2011, 04:53:11 AM »
If Boston negate the speed of the Leafs?

Is this still the best team in the league? (Bruins that is)

I miss playoff hockey but Botson has replaced Philly as my go to hate team anytime of the day.

Even though my brain says we get smoked in back to back games my heart says the Leafs win one against the B's this week.

The Leafs have back to back with Boston and then NYR next Sunday. Tough schedule for them. 4 of 6 points would be great. I am concerned that they will get 0 for 6.

we fared well against Boston last year/. No reason we cannot beat them. Boston plays an intimidation game against samaller fast teams. We have some guys who probably are nto as intimidated. May need either Rosehill or Orr to play a bigger role. (Just not both). I see us getting asplit with them winning in TO and us winning in Boston

Let's just hope our speed and forecheck actually works against Boston for once.  I don't even care if Kessel is shut down, as long as the Leafs win.

I'm back after a bad computer crash.  well i think this is a very big week , and i am also hoping for 4 out of 6 pts. this next three will show us if we are ready too play with the big boys or if we will choke.

Is this you nutman?  You're supposed to tell us that we're sweeping the games this week!

I would love to but Boston is hot and taking both is just not going to happen, but i would love three pts. as for NYR  i think we will get them if we fair well with Boston. remember i have picked the buds to be in the top six, so i expect big wins when we run into game sets like these three.

I mentioned it elsewhere last night but I think our best chance to beat Boston is to not dress "big" as we have in the recent past vs. Boston.  Leave the Orr's and Rosehill's on the bench and try to beat their "big" with our "speed/skill." I'd dress our quickest line-up possible and try to frustrate these bullies in to take dumb minors and then ram our elite power play [man, that sounds good] up their keisters. Heck, I'd even consider giving Kadri a call-up if that would add even more speed.

I just hope we can compete.  I don't want to see another laugher against Boston.  The Leafs *should* be geared up for the game with that 7-0 defeat fresh in their minds.  I would hope they have some pride and want to show Boston something on Wednesday.

I think that armstrong is really missed in these games baecause I recall him getting in the opposing goalies wheelhouse fairly often...brown too.  but the leafs need to make life very uncomfortable for thomas!

edited because I use "we" and I do not play for the leafs
