Toronto newspaper websites
« on: November 26, 2017, 11:30:26 AM »
Anyone notice the change in the Toronto Sun and Star websites. Not a fan of changes for either site now.  The Stars changes are terrible, pop up ads and shifting texts. I am spending a lot more time at PPP and thank god for the Athletic.
If it ain't broke don't fix it guys.

Yes, I've noticed. Not so much the Star, because I stopped visiting that site a while back. But the recent changes to the Sun's website led to my un-bookmarking them.

Despite the fact that the Toronto Sun is a very silly news source, I did like their website. Their entertainment section was in fact, entertaining, provided I could avoid the constant Walking Dead/Game of Thrones spoilers. Their sports section was in many ways similar to the entertainment section.

It only took one visit to the new site to give up on it. I don't know what their current business model is, but I'm not interested. Not going there is saving me some time in the morning.
