I think about her every year on my birthday, gone but not forgotten.

I still marvel at her ability to make you feel comfortable.  You could be pissed at the world, but she always made you rethink things in a friendlier way.  She did so much for this TMLfans community, all quietly behind the scenes.

I went to Rennie Park last week to take photos of the tree we planted in her name (even put a box of Miracle-gro next to our commemorative plaque, for a good photo-op)

The tree has really grown. Sakura would have loved it!

Sakura was a regular poster who would calm down situations and make people feel at home rather than posting in condescending and nit picking ways.  She is missed.

I actually could have gone to the park on the 14th to check out our tree we planted for her as I am in Mississauga with my wife right now.

Thanks for the pictures Rob.  Memories from a great time here at Penaltybox.

Cheers Dan.

You should still go if you get the chance. By the way, how long are you in town for?  :)

I think Sue and I will head back on Saturday after my sons ice time in Brampton. I haven't heard when that is. He is also on the ice Friday which is the last day of the courses we have been taking. I expect to be at the Brampton rink that day as well.

After all these years she still is impacting us.

I still remember where I was when I heard the news.  RIP m-gro

Okay, so now I fully get it.

Sincerest apologies to any I offended through my ignorance.

Sounds like I missed out on the opportunity to get to know a truly bright light that shone too briefly.  :'(
