Fair warning, you of course shouldn't read TOO much into these lines at all, but since we've got nothing better to do... if the Marleau/Komarov duo sticks and Kadri replaces Gauthier that's our top-9 right there. Which would leave Brown on the 4th line...

*edit: this could literally all change tomorrow. Training camp!

Opening night roster gets shuffled after 2-3 games anyway, and we will always have a reason to complain. I like that Calle Rosen is drawing attention. Borgman also drew some attention in the unofficial skates when he plowed someone over.

Aww cut the crap people.  I want to know who showed up fat.

Nobody, apparently there's been a potato famine in and around the organization.
hahahaha
Shanny had a quote about being asked as an 18-year-old the Devils should draft him and he said as the youngest of four Irish boys if there was one potato left he would win it.
Then yesterday there's a quote some guy asked Reilly if Marnthewders fought for a potato who would win and he said they'd share it.

... also, potato.

I'm predicting our starting 3rd D pairing will be Rosen - Marincin, based on nothing more than a guess.

The #7, actually.  Marincin provides PK abilities that Carrick just doesn't, and I think that's gonna play into Babcock's decision.

I'm not convinced the PK will play into Babcock's decision more than the fact that, without Carrick, Liljegren or Polak, the Leafs would only have one right-handed defenceman in the lineup. The current scuttlebutt seems to have Marincin on the outside looking in.

Kadri taking part in practice today, taking Gauthier's spot from yesterday. That confirms that at least the original training camp plan for the top-9 is this:

Hyman-Matthews-Nylander
Marleau-Kadri-Komarov
JVR-Bozak-Marner

I REALLY hope it's gonna be Kapanen - Moore - Brown.  Defensively solid, yet offensively capable!

Hmm... Seems I had Marincin and Carrick backwards on which sides they play....

I can see what you're saying - they'll spend more time at ES, so you might be right.

I still think Rosen is a guy who will surprise at camp and take a spot.  Marincin, I'm less sure of now...

It won't be.  Too bad they couldn't find a trade or two to move a guy like Kapanen or Leivo who won't get an opportunity to play because Martin needs 82 games to put up 7 points.
