Blues 1  Predators  3    Nashville leads series 2 games to 1.

In their last game (a 2-1 loss in St.Louis in Game 2), the Predators did not have a power play advantage.  They couldn't get untracked offensively and did not play their usual skating and hitting game, strategies that have made them a very effective playoff team this year.

At home in front of a cheering sold out crowd and a national television audience, the Predators got to work scoring on the power play, much to the chagrin of the Blues who were apparently not disciplined enough to stay out of the penalty box.

Nashville beat the Blues at their own game with plenty of hitting and high end hockey.  It is worth noting that the Predator defensemen lead the league in goals & total points in these playoffs.  Well, who can argue when one has Ryan Ellis or P.K. Subban on the backend at any given time.

St.Louis will need to find a way to limit the Predators offensive game, prevent themselves from being outshot, while at the same time staying out of the box -- penalty box-- that is, or risk going deeper into a hole.

I've decided I want St Louis to lose, because Jake Allen's pads are stupid.

Predators 1  Blues 2   Nashville leads series 3 games to 2.

Talk about last-minute miracles.  That's what came St.Louis' way as Jaden Schwartz scored with just 25 seconds remaining in the third period as the Blues staved off elimination.

One of the key players for the Blues in this game was a fellow by the name of Dmitrij Jaskin, who had scored all of one goal in fifty games played this season.  Jaskin not only scored the opening goal in the second period but played an overall strong game as a replacement for the injured Alexander Steen.

Lucky Blues but good job nevertheless.

Press win 3-1. Take series 4 games to 2 and reach Western Conference Finals for first time in franchise history.

And the Preds won't get their grubby hands on the defenceman that we want!

Didn't realize Calgary was 16th. Any decent D we should watch out for? Is getting Lilljegren reasonable? Could we possibly move up? Or do we trade for immediate help?
