That's our bad game out of the way, and we still dragged it back to a 1 goal loss through almost sheer will power alone. Bodes well not just for hopefully the rest of this series but also for next season and beyond.

Two more good games and we're potentially in the 2nd round, one of which is a pressure off road game.
I Saw Jay McClement Score.

It was a crappy game, but it could have been worse <cough>Edm<cough>.

Hey, the Leafs are tied 2-2 against the best team in hockey. I'm happy with that. It's a best 2 of 3 series now.

Man that 5th goal really hurt. Brown was on instead of Nylander and shot it right at the guys feet. Literally anywhere would have been a better choice then the small sliver of ice where the caps player was. Then carrick brings it back into our own zone and bad goal by Andersen.
I wish marchenko would play instead of Carrick.
Leafs didn't skate tonight, the effort wasn't there.

Yeah I have to keep reminding myself the Leafs weren't even supposed to make the playoffs this season.  Once you're here though, you get greedy.  I still think they can win this series.

That being said, I can't see the Caps winning the Cup if they get past the Leafs and play like they have.  They certainly don't look like "the best team in hockey" right now.

I can only assume you didn't watch any of the games Marchenko played for the Leafs this year.

This has been a hard series to gauge stuff.  I don't know how much of what is happening is "Leafs doing well" versus "Caps not doing well".  How much of what is happening to the Caps due to the Leafs speed versus how much of it may be because the Caps aren't taking the Leafs seriously or being nervous because of the choker narrative?

Maybe, although I'm not sure there's any team out there that looks like a powerhouse right now. Certainly not in the East.
