Looked up the stats today and was shocked to see Komarov 2nd in the NHL hits and 1st among forwards. If he can develop his offensive game a little bit more he'd be a real solid player.

I think he's got the ability to step up his offense a notch or two still. Look what happened playing for the Marlies. Once he got comfortable playing in that league, he starting potting goals. Nothing says it can't happen in the NHL as well.

This kid loves to hit and the Frattin-Kadri-Komarov line was more dangerous then Frattin-Kadri-The General line.

Komarov creates the extra room on the ice.

on another note, he was good at the dot playing C with the goons yesterday, he won almost 64% of the faceoffs.

A.K.A Gardiner51, Changed back to Kaberle15 now that he is retired.

I am really fond of Komarov. Against the Montreal it was his  best game by far, not that he just scored what turned out to be a game winner, but he was agitating, showing veteran savvy (as he prevented Grabbo from retaliation), causing lots of damage to Habs without being penalized and he is clearly capable to gel with anybody. In last three games he played on 4th line, on Kadri´s line and now on Grabbo´s and he seemed to instantly click. He is also surprisingly calm and rarely gets penalized, which I have to admit I was afraid would be the case as his style of play  would costs us a lot. But he is incredibly smart so far. What a team guy. The post game interview underscored this perceptrion. He basically said OK I scored a goal, so what, no big deal, the key is that we have won. The journalists pressed him again on that goal he scored and he looked quite amazed, why the big fuss about his goal. What a guy.

What struck me as amazing about Komarov was against Boston, HE hit a guy from behind and managed to get Chara to take a penalty with him.

He has only taken two minor penalties. It would be interesting to see how many he's drawn.
