Kadri will not travel to Grand Rapids for the two games vs. Griffins this weekend.

Isn't that a home and home series with the 1st at the Van Andel and the 2nd at Ricoh?

Both games are at Grand Rapids.

The Saturday game is the rescheduled game that was originally supposed to take place outdoors on Sunday at Comerica Park as part of the Winter Classic festivities.

Maybe he thought boxing day meant BOXING day.

Will Acton has opened the scoring as the Marlies have taken a 1-0 lead.

Game is on radio only, TSN1050 or AHLLive.com

Nah, Domi could actually fight and was an intimidating player until the last few years of his career.  Stortini has been a terrible fighter and never intimidating his whole career.

I know about guys from out here who played in the OHL when Domi was there.  Domi was so vicious that the coach would have a hard time getting players to go on the ice when Domi was out there.

For a stretch, Domi could also contribute a little.

A little? Honestly, I would love to have a goon capable to score 15, 13, 11 goals as Domi did in 02/03, 00/01 and 96/97. (I like Nik Kulemin, but to give a perspective he scored 7 goals last season). Since 95/96 in his 10 years as a Leaf Tie Domi has avareged 20 points per season. That´s actually quite impressive for an enforcer. None of his succesors (Belak, Orr, Rosehill) came even close. Even guys like Brown or Mayers who can fight but are not considered as typical hockey goons are behind Domi as far as scoring is concerned. Domi was pretty good, not just for one use only player, who gets 5 or 6 shifts per game, as we can see these days.
