The Marlies training camp kicks off this Thursday and the team announced their training camp roster earlier today:http://www.marlies.ca/news/news.asp?story_id=2342Scrivens and Aucoin are both on the roster despite not being placed on waivers earlier in the month. That means they've likely already signed AHL-only contracts or will in the coming weeks. No Colton Orr on the roster as he also wasn't waived. Wonder what that means for his future. It's going to be very difficult for guys like Ross, McKegg, and Carrick to crack this line-up I think.
I'd like to see Colborne be the #1 guy but isn't Aucoin like the Gretzky of the AHL or something? I don't know, I'd kind of like to see Colborne earn the job away from Aucoin... Know what I mean?
Kyle Cicerella @KyleTheReporterLooks like Leo Komarov will wear 87 with the Marlies. Same number he wore with Moscow Dynamo #Marlies
Good to see Komarov is stickin' around.QuoteKyle Cicerella @KyleTheReporterLooks like Leo Komarov will wear 87 with the Marlies. Same number he wore with Moscow Dynamo #Marlies
Screw the NHL. All of the players I want to watch are in the AHL this year! Are there online feeds for games and whatnot?

Sure, I'd love for NHL hockey to be back but I'm pretty sure a heavy dose of AHL hockey will satisfy me for as much as a year.

Personally, Leaf TV is not a real appetising option. I will certainly catch a game or two (especially now that my kids are becoming old enough to enjoy an outing), but how else will you stay up to date?
Season-ticket sales are up 74 per cent. Single-game tickets are going three times faster than they were at this point last season. And the major networks are more interested than ever in broadcasting games, on television and radio. If any one team stands to benefit the most from the NHL lockout, the Toronto Marlies appear to be it.
