Finn will miss 4-6 weeks with a bad knee sprain.

Likely ends his season, unless Guelph goes deep in the playoffs.

Notes:
-As Deebo mentioned, Rielly was named the WHL Eastern Conference defenceman of the year. He finished 5th in the WHL in points among defencemen, and played less games than the 4 players ahead of him.
-Sparks finished tied for 1st in wins, tied for first in shutouts, 7th in GAA, and 5th in SA%.
-Percy finished 11th in the OHL in points among defencemen.
-Leivo finished 19th in the OHL in points.
-Leivo and Brown led their teams in scoring.

Rielly and Brown are the only Leafs prospects that will not be participating in the CHL playoffs. It's already been confirmed that Rielly will join the Marlies for the remainder of the AHL season. He will wear #44. Brown suffered a concussion in the middle of February, and while he returned late in the season for a few games and even scored 2 goals in Erie's final regular season game, it sounds like he won't be joining the Marlies.

Ryan Rupert's London Knights secured 1st overall in the OHL this season, finishing with 9 more points than the next highest team. They will play the Saginaw Spirit in the first round.

Stuart Percy and the Mississauga Stealheads made the playoffs by just 1 point, despite a last-10 record of 1-6-0-3. They'll face off against the top seed in the Eastern conference, the Belleville Bulls. Unless they turn things around soon, Percy could be joining an already very crowded Marlies blueline very soon.

Kitchener vs. Guelph is the 4-5 matchup in the West. Kitchener traded for Josh Leivo midseason so he'll face off against one of the OHLs top goalies in Garret Sparks. Unfortunately Finn will miss this series and likely even longer with a MCL injury.

The Oshawa Generals finished 3rd in the East, and Biggs finished 3rd in team scoring. They'll face the Niagara IceDogs in the first round.

David Broll and the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds will attempt to upset the 3rd seeded Owen Sound Attack in round one.

Have to say I haven't been very impressed with Broll in the playoffs.  Has shown next to no offensive instincts, and other than a fight I've hardly noticed him doing anything of note.  He's not playing with Nick Cousins anymore, which helps explain the lack of offensive production.

Rielly was named WHL Eastern Conference defenseman of the year.

Rielly has played 6 games for the Marlies so far; the first one at home was yesterday.

Good read Rob, I see Reilly going back to Junior next year as well.  We have enough young D in the system and with the big club that there is no need to rush his progress.  Unless he really steps it up at camp I expect guys like Blacker and Percy to play a big role with the Marlies next season.  Maybe a guy like Granberg comes over after signing an ELC last year. I even see Finn making the step up to the Marlies before Reilly simply because of the lost time Reilly had due to injury in his draft year.  Reilly should have a strong year in Junior and a good WJC and then lead the Marlies the following year.

Marlies have signed goaltender Garret Sparks to an ATO.  Not quite sure why he neeed to after signing a 3-year deal only about a week ago, but probably some technicality to get around CHL/AHL cooperation rules.

Sparks has really climbed the depth chart in a big hurry, from a 7th round pick in 2011 to the Marlies. Not too shabby.

Maybe his deal only kicks in next season? Otherwise, I don't know why he needs an ATO either.

I think his entry level contract doesn't kick in until next summer.

Anyone else looking forward to seeing Matt Finn and Jake Gardiner on the same D pairing?

It can be Adventure Time with Finn and Jake!
