Marlies & Prospect Talk / 21st overall - Frederik Gauthier
« on: June 30, 2013, 05:17:57 PM »
TSN Scout Craig Button:
An imposing centre who can play any situation in the game. Very smart and his awareness is excellent both with and without the puck. Can control the game from the centre ice position in multiple ways. He is very difficult to handle offensively and equally difficult to break down defensively. Has very good skating and puck skills and really understands how to play to his strengths for the benefit of the team. Has shown the ability to raise his level of play at critical times and is a very competitive player.

General Rumours & Speculation / Cal Clutterbuck
« on: June 29, 2013, 03:55:51 PM »
Not a rumour or anything, just read that Clutterbuck may be traded this weekend. He is set to be a RFA and the rumoured asking price is a 2nd and a prospect. I think he would fit in nicely on the third line, he has had a cap hit of $1.4 million each of the last three seasons. I'm not so sure about the asking price, depends on what level of prospect they would want.

Just wondering what everyones thoughts are on him.

« on: April 29, 2013, 07:50:40 AM »
Think we did this in the past, can't remember the rules we used, but a basic pick who wins in how many games the series will go and who wins it will work, 1 point per correct guess and 3 points if you correct who scores the game winning goal in the series winning game. You will only get the bonus 3 points if the series length is correct.

Example: Toronto in 6 games and Kessel scoring then series clinching goal.

If Toronto wins the series in 6 games, and Kessel scores the gwg in game 6, would net you 1 point for correctly predicting the series length, and 3 points for predicting Kessel scoring the gwg in game 6.

So if Toronto wins in 7 games and Kessel scores the gwg in game 7, you don't get the bonus points.

TMLfans.ca has had a hockey pool in the past, not sure when the last one was, I was wondering if anyone had plans to set one up and/or if anyone would be interested in participating in it?
