I think the image with Lou using two phones at the same time sort of brings us back to the post that threw this topic so far off kilter to begin with.  8)

You think it's my fault? With my 750 posts? Please.

I am not taking sides on this. Maybe consider moving on from this issue.  Take solice in the PMs you indicated you previously received. At this point you are just going to be repeating your views and it is clear you are not going to change their minds. Then we can discuss important things like facial hair growth and whether or not Kadri had to shave twice a day under Lou.
You are right it is pointless. It reminds me of the useless thread. Or the child boards.
I was hoping you would take the out I tried to set. You’re just going to get more push back with those last two sentences.
Eh so be it.

lol. Man its like you've dropped a bunch of French fries at 'Seagull beach' now.

It won't.

It will in my household .   ;D

Had a chance yesterday to take in the OHL championship game in Hamilton.

Hamilton came into the game up 3-2 against Kyle Dubas' ex-team, The Soo Greyhounds.

Great game, and the Bulldogs are the OHL champs after a well fought 5-4 game.  I have never seen FirstOntario Centre (Copps) so loud and full...they say there were 8600 people there.

From a guy that used to go watch the AHL Bulldogs play there, that's about 5 times the crowd.  Good to see this result and attendance, as Andlauer is lobbying for a new rink.

hey Frank, you weren't the drunk guy 2 rows behind us chanting HAP-PY MOTH-ERS DAY! were you? lol. Great game indeed

With Dubas moving up to be Leafs GM, who takes his role now as Marlies GM?

Have to figure that's the sort of thing that gets figured out once they have a definite picture of what their front office looks like.

So you’re saying it’s NOT Mark Hunter?  ;)

Can I refer to him as KD?

How about 'noodles'? Oh wait thats been taken.

I think Hunter has played a huge part in the success of the Marlies and the draft picks he's made that have seamlessly made the leap to the Leafs. I've been impressed with the kids in the system since Hunter came aboard. Certainly Hunter doesn't deserve all the credit, but man oh man I'd hate to see some other team pick him up.

Thanks Herman. I figured I missed the news but wasn’t sure. Too bad he passed but it’s understandable . He going to be a fixture on team Canada for years to come I’d imagine .

No problem. It would've been cool to see him there. I'm okay with the Big Three electing to rest up and prepare for next year too, seeing how much there is to work on. Also hoping they'll all be very unavailable for the World Championship for many years to come.
I was sort of hoping to see Marner on a line with McDavid to see what sort of chemistry they had together . Perhaps at the next World Cup. Like you said hopefully Marner won’t be available for the next 10-15 years of these tournaments :)

We could see that combo if the Oilers would just trade McDavid to us.

How much would you be willing to throw in to the deal to make that happen?
Would Matthews & Nylander do it?

Why is Mitch not playing for Canada at the World championships this year? Did I miss something ? It would have been a great opportunity to show Hockey Canada that he belongs among Canada’s best .

Quote
Hockey Canada wanted to add the Maple Leafs winger for the world hockey championship in Denmark, but after a weekend of hemming and hawing, Marner turned down the invitation.

Marner wanted to go, but decided in the end to heal from bumps and bruises that came with being the Leafs’ best player in an intense first-round series against the Boston Bruins.
