Thanks.  This is why I join Leafs forums.  Because people question things and I learn stuff.  8)

You seem to be resisting learning about how Bettman isn't driving this, and how it doesn't impact the cap in any way, shape, or form... ;)

Haven't followed the team in a couple of years, and I figured this would be the best place to get back up to speed...

Or is it the same old place?

2011 to 2017 GDTs (OLD) / Re: Game 21 - Maple Leafs @ Hurricanes - 5:00pm

For Mordac

Please, Please, Please play like it is Washington!

Nice total lack of effort on the GDT.

I'm getting tired of this. I'm going to go play elsewhere.

Well, if you've a Playbook, you can.

You still can't have messenger, or an email client, but you can fire up Commander Keen and toast some Vorticons.

My boy started walking this week....not even a year old yet. :)

As I said to Fanatic, the post has traditionally contained useful information. I have complained in the past, and will continue to do so, should the initial post in the thread contain no useful information regarding the game. Unless it is a placeholder post, it's a waste.

Do you find any part of this ironic?  I mean the first thing you so callously quipped was "does your post count mean that much?"  And now here you are, making the same post in multiple threads, an issue everyone is aware you have, and no one cares.

Quit complaining and quit being a hypocrite.

Well, the only way to respond to a new comment is to reply, so unfortunately, it does indeed affect post count. However, that's never really been important to me. I do know it seems to be of vital import to some though.

And I'll complain when I want to, thanks. You're not my mom.

So no one can discuss the game until someone does it good enough for you? Good luck with that.

Don't be obtuse. You're smarter than this.

Go Leafs, go.

This is the same crap you pulled last year.  Get off your high horse.  This has nothing to do with post count and everything to do with having a place to discuss the game.

Your qualms with the gameday threads, now and in the past, fall under childish complaining.  A

By the way, when is the last time you did one of the really great gameday threads?

Last season. It was on the old board. Had a few compliments on it, too, as it actually included useful information.

12
Maybe the better way to get what you want would be to tell those other folks how much you appreciate what they do rather than whinning on the ones who just get the discussion going.

The gameday thread has, for years, been more than a place to discuss the game. It has also been a place where information about the game has traditionally been posted as the first post, to inform others about the days game. Your posts offer none of that, and thus are a complete waste of time, outside of increasing your post count.

And for the record, I do offer thanks to those who put up useful information. And if you check, I also nearly always comment on crappy initial GDT posts as well, not just yours.

13
So as long as the team sucks, so will the game day threads?

Seriously, why bother? If you're not going to provide useful information, don't bother. Is your post count really that important to you?

14
But if we're par for the course so far (again, without a starter) then what's the issue?

Isn't that the problem? That we're par for the course?
