I hope you're right and I hope they can sell that strategy in a way that energizes enough people to come out and vote for what is right and what is just.

I just wonder if that'll be enough to close the gap on a Republican base that is so rabid that they almost elected a pedophile tonight.

There is a real Balkinization strategy at the heart of Trump and the Republican message and I hope we don't swing too far that way before the Democrats can reign them back in.

I'll give up literally all of my possessions if somebody can prove that Trump actually wrote this out all on his own.

Not to mention that it's a six-year term, I think he thinks they have a shot at it again in 2018.

No, this was an election to fill the remainder of Sessions' term after he was named AG. So it's a three year term that will be up for election in 2020.

Thanks for the clarification, that'll teach me to parrot the words of noted liar Brian Williams on MSNBC.  ;)

I never in a million years would have predicted the day would come that I'd happily take a Leaf loss in exchange for a Democrat senate win in Alabama, and yet here we are.

I never really doubted that Doug Jones had a chance at usurping Moore.  If anything would sway it in Jones' favour, it would have had to be the African-American votes.

Certainly there are many who are still in a somewhat state of disbelief at the results, that that was even possible after 25 years of Republicans representing the state.  Jones and the Democrats should be proud that they pulled off a miracle.

By Moore being defeated, it sends a strong message that Moore types and any others tagged with sexual allegations will soon be an 'endangered species', and won't be (politically) tolerated in an election. At least, hopefully, this is a start.

Well, the FCC has just voted to repeal Net Neutrality.

There's a lot of stuff from the US we're immune to but hold onto this one as fairly prominent Conservatives have made noise about doing that up here too.

Which prominent Conservatives?

It's crazy that five people got to make a decision as insanely important as this. Well, three people really because the vote was 3-2. And if you asked any American who any of those 5 people were 99.9999999% of them wouldn't be able to give you a name.

I like that pretty much every AG from the Blue States are planning to sue the FCC.
