Brooke Henderson makes Canadian golf history
« on: June 13, 2016, 06:58:39 PM »
Canada's Brooke Henderson became the second - youngest Women's major tournament champion, beating Lydia Ko in a sudden-death playoff, to win the KPMG Women's PGA championship.

In fact, Henderson becomes the third youngest (male or female) to win a tournament.  She also became only the second Canadian not since Sandra Post in 1968.

First there was Sandra Post.

Now, there's Brooke Henderson.

Henderson became only the second Canadian Women's golfer (and the youngest) ro win the CP Women's Open (a major LPGA event) in Saskatchewan.

Paying homage to the Humboldt Broncos and her family, an emotional Henderson accepted the trophy she had wanted to win the most.

She is also one win away from overtaking Sandra Post for most wins by a Canadian Women's golfer.

A feat not lost on the golf world for Henderson is 20 yrs. old and proving quite the gifted & determined player that she is.

Way to go!
