Moore traded to San Jose
« on: February 16, 2012, 06:53:03 PM »
TSNBobMcKenzie: As per @Real_ESPNLeBrun, TB trades Dom Moore and 7th round pick to SJ for a 2nd round pick. Done deal.

TSNBobMcKenzie: That 2nd round pick SJS gave up for Moore originally belonged to MIN.

Wouldn't be a trade deadline without Dominic Moore getting moved.

More accurately:  Does Dominic Moore hold the record for most times traded for a 2nd-round pick?

And just so we are clear, Grabovski is apparently only worth a prospect + 2nd round pick when a mediocre 3rd liner is worth a second when he's having.

Moore has 4 goals this year.

I believe the theory that this was leaked for contract negotiation purposes.  It also further cements in my mind that he will be resigned and not dealt. The Leafs would not want to have a lowball offer like this leaked if they wanted to up the ante on another trade as in essence it does the opposite and makes his trade value look weak.
