The Grand Rapids Griffins rallied from a 3-1 deficit to edge the Toronto Marlies 4-3 in a shootout on Sunday afternoon at Ricoh Coliseum. Gustav Nyquist had a big day for the visitors, registering a pair of goals plus the shootout winner. Marlies goaltender Jussi Rynnas struggled in the shootout, failing to make a save in three opportunities.

Leo Komarov had his first career AHL goal, while Mike Kostka and Korbinian Holzer also found the scoresheet.

Toronto now embarks on an eight-game road trip with the Royal Winter Fair moving into the CNE grounds for the next couple of weeks.
