The Toronto Marlies dropped a 2-1 decision to the Hamilton Bulldogs on Tuesday. The loss ended a string of ten consecutive games in which the club had earned at least one point in the standings (8-0-2).

Both Bulldogs goals were scored in the final minute of a period. With Nazem Kadri opening the scoring with a second period marker at 9:18, Hamilton’s Patrick Holland scored with one second left before the intermission.

With the game appearing headed for overtime, Gabriel Dumont fired the game-winner with just under 48 seconds remaining in regulation time.

Jussi Rynnas took the defeat in goal, making 36 saves.

In other team news, the Marlies have recalled Andrew Crescenzi, Jamie Devane and Mark Owuya from their respective ECHL teams. The club has also signed defenceman Ryan Grimshaw to a Professional Try-Out (PTO).
