Leafs coach Ron Wilson indicated Friday afternoon that he’ll be going with James Reimer once again.

Reimer had his second shutout this season a couple nights in a 1-0 victory over the Penguins. He’ll get the nod as the Leafs play in Ottawa, their cross-province rivals.

Word out of practice today has Tim Connolly suffering an upper-body injury which will likely keep him out of the lineup for two weeks. It’s unrelated to his last injury.

Luke Schenn and Jonas Gustavsson are expected to be back in the roster for tomorrow’s game versus Florida.

Luke Schenn’s poor play has led to him sitting tonight.

Both Cody Franson and Jay Rosehill are expected to dress.

It looks like goaltender Ben Scrivens will likely get the nod for the second game in a row.

Scrivens was in the home net for the game day skate, and was first to leave the ice.  Both are usual indicators that he’s been penciled in by Leafs Coach Ron Wilson as the starter.

James Reimer wasn’t on the ice for the team practice Friday. Both Jonas Gustavsson and Ben Scrivens were practicing. Coach Ron Wilson tried to play it down suggesting that when he has two goalies already playing well, there’s no use in rushing Reimer.

The Kidney Foundation of Canada fired us off a quick email, asking for a favour.  Apparently Darryl Boyce was kind enough to paint an original piece of artwork for them to auction off, and they would like our help in spreading the word.

The auction is run through eBay and it’s part of their Brush of Hope fundraiser.

Simply put, they asked us nicely to share this info in hopes of raising some much needed support, so naturally we’re glad to help out.  The Kidney Foundation will use monies raised to aid much needed kidney research and improve the lives of people living with kidney disease.
