David Clarkson suspended two games

Leafs winger David Clarkson has been suspended for two games for his hit to the head of St. Louis Blues’ centre Vladimir Sobotka. The incident occurred in Toronto’s 6-3 loss on Thursday night. Clarkson was assessed a two-minute minor penalty on the play.

At the beginning of the year, Clarkson was suspended 10 games for leaving the bench during a pre-season game versus Buffalo.

Leafs players Clarkson, Dion Phaneuf, Carton Ashton, Nazem Kadri and Phil Kessel (pre-season) have all been suspended at some point during the 2013-14 campaign.
