Dallas is in to town tonight to take on the Leafs at the ACC. It’s on Leafs-TV.
Kari Lehtonen is likely starting in net for Dallas. My crystal ball shows Bernier in net for Toronto.
Apparently Kessel is banged up, but he’ll still likely suit up. He scored his 200th career goal a few nights ago against the Sharks. He has 15 on the season.
Here’s a really good pregame thread that shows plenty of head-to-head info.
Phil Kessel is the latest Leaf fighting injury. It’s thought to be a wrist injury. Coach Carlyle wasn’t sure if he’d be playing tonight. There’s good news for Cody Franson. He’s declared himself ready to go tonight.
The Star’s Dave Feschuk connects the 24/7 HBO in-your-face cameras to them following Kessel off the ice early in practice. As expected, Carlyle pleaded ignorance to the injury.
Kardri & His Grandfather
Lance Hornby has a great article about the respect Nazem Kadri has for his recently deceased grandfather. He’s expected to play tonight after missing the Sharks game.
The Star also has a similar article, showing how Nazem’s grandfather laid the foundation for the start of his NHL career.

The Young Guns…
Did you know that the Leafs have the fourth youngest team in the league? Here are the youngest teams:
1. Columbus – 26.4
2. Winnipeg – 26.6
3. Buffalo – 26.8
T-4. Toronto – 27.0
T-4. Los Angeles – 27.0
With Phil Kessel scoring his 300th NHL goal last game, David Clarkson is one away from his 100th.
The Marlies are travelling tonight to take on the Lake Erie Monsters.
