Couch’s Corner: Gameday, Marlies, Vaive and More

The Leafs head off to Buffalo tonight. It’s the first of two games in two nights and will be televised on LeafsTV and TSN1050 radio.

Scratched due to injury are Joffrey Lupul and Dave Bolland.  There’s no indication that Jake Gardiner will be reinserted into the lineup.  He sat last game in the coach’s doghouse.

The starting goalie hasn’t been announced, but I’ll bet Reimer gets the nod tonight and Bernier will be starting in Montreal tomorrow night.

Feel free to join in the game day discussion in the TMLfans forum.

 Marlies See Action Tonight…

The Marlies head off for a game in Hamilton, against the Bulldogs.  They host Rochester tomorrow night.

Forbes Likes The Leafs…

I forgot to post this a few days ago.  Forbes came out with their annual appraisals.  The Leafs are worth $1.15 billion.  Yes, that starts off with a B.  Followed teams are the Rangers, Canadiens, and Canucks.

Suing The NHL…

By now, everyone has heard that there are a list of 10 retired NHLers planning to sue the league in relations to concussions suffered while playing.   Most interesting was Rick Vaive asking yesterday that his name be removed from the list.

A Big Thank You!

I’ve got a few emails in the past couple days welcoming me back to doing the daily Couch’s Corner.  It used to be a staple for Leafs fans 10 or 12 years ago. It had a big following then.  Thanks to those who contacted me!
