Leafs begin Burke era with victory over Flyers

The Leafs put forth a solid effort in their first game under new general manager Brian Burke, handling the Flyers 4-2 at Air Canada Centre on Saturday. Vesa Toskala was sharp in goal, making 28 saves for the win.

Lee Stempniak notched his first goal in a Toronto uniform while Dominic Moore scored on a highlight reel breakaway after coming out of the penalty box. Nik Antropov and Pavel Kubina had the other Leafs goals.

Toronto heads out on a three game western road trip beginning Monday in Los Angeles.
