Leafs have one Hall of a night

The Maple Leafs had arguably their strongest outing of the season in a 6-3 victory over the Montreal Canadiens as the annual Hockey Hall of Fame game was played at Air Canada Centre.

Niklas Hagman led the way with a pair of goals, while Pavel Kubina chipped in with a power-play marker and was named Player of the Game at the evening’s conclusion.

Mikhail Grabovski scored against his former team while Nik Antropov and Alexei Ponikarovsky also found the net for Toronto.

Defenceman Mike Van Ryn left the game early after being boarded by the Habs’ Tom Kostopoulos, who was ejected as a result.

Toronto heads on a three-game western road swing beginning on Tuesday in Calgary.
