  1. I always adimred Grabbo’s ability to get crunched and yet find a way to get back in the play right away or within a shift or two. I’ve never questioned his heart in that sense. However, his biggest gripe was that Growlyle put him in a checking role and that’s why he didn’t produce. Now while I agree with his reasoning, I can also argue that he didn’t do the checking line roll very well either. I remember all too well that he was on the ice for 3 goals in the fatal Boston Stronger game.I’ve also never seen a player get tossed from the face-off circle as often as Grabbo. If those tosses were counted as face-off losses, his percentage would have been in the minus column. Let’s face it, Grabbo is NOT suited for a checking line roll, but he was given the chance to add his offensive skills on the PP at the start of the season and failed to produce there. It didn’t take long for Kadri to bump him off the PP for all but the occasional time.BB made a mistake in overpaying Grabbo, which made it impossible for Nonis to trade him. We know that’s not Mikhail’s fault.I am not surprised he hasn’t found a home yet in the NHL. Burning bridges by bad mouthing the coach & management is a red flag on your resume, not a gold star. Remember Montreal. I also wonder just how much of that $5.5 he is still looking for too. I wish him the best of luck. At least if push came to shove he would certainly find a job in the KHL.
