Pogge shows brilliance, still needs work

Both the best and worst of Leafs goaltending prospect Justin Pogge were on display at HSBC Arena last night. The 22-year-old netminder was outstanding for the first 57 minutes of the game, but his flub on the last shot he faced – in overtime – cost Toronto a chance at two points.

“Obviously, he wishes he had the last goal back and that’s kind of why he’s not ready to play yet in the NHL,” said head coach Ron Wilson following the game. “He shows he’s got great talent and we have to be patient with him.”
