Mike Brown suspended 3 games

Leafs forward Mike Brown has been suspended for three games by the NHL for a head shot on Phoenix Coyotes defenceman Ed Jovanovski Thursday night.

Brown, playing in his first game after missing 19 outings with a finger injury, delivered a blindside hit to Jovanovski late in the second period of the Leafs’ 5-1 loss in Glendale, AZ.

Marcel Muller has been recalled from the Marlies of the AHL for tomorrow night’s game between the Leafs and the Calgary Flames, while goaltender James Reimer has been returned to the farm club.
