Thursday news: Blake to the rescue: Kessel returns to Boston – part 2

Jason Blake scored with 4:05 in the third period of Wednesday’s game against the New York Islanders, giving the Maple Leafs a 3-2 victory at Air Canada Centre. Toronto held a 2-0 lead after forty minutes of play, only to have the Islanders rally with a pair of power-play goals from John Tavares.

The Leafs are off to Boston where they will face the Bruins for the second time in 6 nights at TD BankNorth Garden (7pm ET, Leafs TV, AM 640). Phil Kessel hopes that his second match in Beantown against his former team produces a better result for the Leafs, who were pummelled 7-2 by Boston this past Saturday.
