Gord Stellick, on this date in Leafs history

It was on this date, August 11, 1989, that 32-year-old Gord Stellick quit his job with Toronto. He was the youngest General Manager in NHL history.

At the time, Stellick was working for the ornery Harold Ballard, which would have made the job difficult for any GM – rookie or experienced.

Stellick currently works the morning show on the FAN 590 with Don Landry.
