Ron Wilson appears to be next Leafs coach

In a somewhat unexpected move, the Leafs look to be poised to introduce Ron Wilson as the team's new head coach.

Numerous reports have the deal already in place and it could be announced in the next few days.

What is somewhat puzzling is that they still haven't hired a new GM.  Usually a GM hires his own bench boss.

Could this mean that the Leafs have someone in mind as GM, and have that person's blessing on the hiring of Wilson?
