Leafs name Al Coates as Director of Player Personnel

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Monday that Al Coates has been named the teams director of player personnel. 

 

Coates spent the previous six seasons with the Anaheim Ducks, winning a Stanley Cup alongside general manager Brian Burke in 2007.

 

Burke has long been rumoured to be on the way to Toronto once his contract - on which he has one year remaining - expires with Anaheim.
