Marlies within a game of winning series
The Toronto Marlies are one game from advancing to the North Division final after defeating the San Antonio Rampage 2-1 on Friday night to take a three games to two lead in the series. The game was played before 7,022 fans at AT&T Center.
John Mitchell was named the game's first star, collecting a goal and an assist, including the game-winner at 8:50 of the second period. Andy Wozniewski scored the Marlies' first goal. Goaltender Scott Clemmensen made his fifth consecutive post-season start, making 26 saves in the victory.
The series shifts back to Ricoh Coliseum where the Marlies have a chance to clinch the best-of-seven showdown on Sunday afternoon (4pm ET).
