Marlies edged by Moose in season finale

The Toronto Marlies dropped a 4-3 decision to the Manitoba Moose in front of 6,719 fans at Ricoh Coliseum, in their final game of the 2007-08 regular season.  Toronto rallied from a 3-1 deficit to tie the game in the third period, but gave up the eventual game-winner while attempting to kill a 5-on-3 penalty.  A pair of minor penalties were assessed to the Marlies on the same play after a skirmish near the Toronto bench in which Chris Harrington was called for roughing, and coach Greg Gilbert protested too loudly, resulting in a bench penalty.

The Marlies goals were scored by John Mitchell, Alex Foster and David Ling.  Scott Clemmensen took the loss in goal, making 21 saves.  After the game, Gilbert declined to name a starter for the first round of the playoffs.

Toronto faces the San Antonio Rampage in the North Division Semi-Finals, beginning Wednesday at Ricoh.
