Luke Schenn joins Team Canada

Leafs defenceman, who had an impressive rookie season with Toronto, will represent Canada at the forthcoming World Hockey Championships in Switzerland.

“I’m excited to be representing Canada, any time you can represent Team Canada, you want to go over there and win,” said Schenn on Monday morning.

The 19-year-old native of Saskatoon won gold with Team Canada at the 2008 World Junior Championships. He was also a member of the Under-18 gold-medal winning team in 2007, as well as the Canadian team that defeated Russia in the 2007 Super Series.
