Leafs Lose Windy Game to Caps

The Leafs headed to Washington Saturday night, losing to Caps in the Stadium Series game 5-2.

Washington’s veteran roster toyed with the Leafs kids much of the game.

Scoring for Toronto was Zach Hyman and Nazem Kadri.

Frederik Andersen stopped 20 shots in 31:10 of action, allowing five goals, and was pulled from the game for the first time this season.  Curtis McElhinney played the remainder.

The Leafs next action is Monday evening in Buffalo.
