Flames Pounce Early Against Leafs

Two goals allowed in the first minute.  It was too much to overcome for Toronto.  Despite outshooting the Flames by a 39-29 margin, the Leafs ended up on the losing end of a 3-0 game in Calgary Wednesday evening.  Chad Johnson had the shutout.

Freddie Hamilton and Kris Versteeg had those first-minute-of-the-game markers.  Matt Stajan added an insurance marker later in the first period.

Jhonas Enroth made 26 saves in the losing effort.

Toronto next plays the Vancouver Canucks Saturday evening.
