Oilers win draft lottery – Leafs to pick 4th

The Edmonton Oilers won the NHL Draft Lottery on Saturday and will select first overall at the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Connor McDavid – the junior phenom from the Erie Otters – is the consensus top draft pick.

The draft will be held at BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida, June 26-27.

Heading into the lottery, the Buffalo Sabres had the best chance of winning, but were bumped down to the number two slot.

The order of this year’s non-playoff teams is as follows:

5. Carolina Hurricanes
