Leafs defeat Hawks 4-2 at rookie tournament

The Maple Leafs defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 4-2 Saturday night in rookie tournament action at Budweiser Gardens in London, Ont.

2014 first-round draft pick William Nylander (pictured) had an assist in a strong showing, displaying flashes of speed and creativity. Ryan Rupert, Matt Finn, Josh Leivo and David Broll all scored for Toronto.

Goaltender Garret Sparks made 33 saves in the win. The Leafs’ next game is Sunday versus the Senators’ rookies at 7pm ET.
